Unless they somehow went back in time to conduct these interviews, this is nothing more than a movie in documentary form.

From looking at their sites it appears that it is straight to dvd/streaming so it is not eligible if we are classing it as a "film".

They don't know exactly what they will do with it. Want me to wait and see what happens after the Sundance Film Festival to see just how it is released?

Want me to talk with the director? He's in a Facebook group that I'm a part of. |

More broadly though, documentaries are not eligible automatically. This is sort or a grey area as it is a docudrama, but it would still have to be allowed as an exception. It is kind of hard to judge it just based on a trailer. |

The director still doesn't have it released yet. I think he wants to release it for the film festivals first. It's been in post-production since June. I think they're almost finished with it.

Not sure yet? I'll get back to you once I know for sure. I'll ask the director on Facebook.

Well, the director said to me in a private Facebook message that they will be doing streaming services, DVDs, and most likely no theatrical runs except for maybe a few private screenings. Want me to wait & see what happens as we get closer to the release date, or should I just go ahead with creating the page?
