fom youtube, it explained that it was saved as a windows movie maker file, and needs to be a different file. problem is, movie makers not letting me save as anything else.

Ah. You're trying to export the wrong file; the files you create by saving in Movie Maker are 'project' files that just save what you've done to a particular movie. You want the movie files you create by using 'Publish.'

i did publish and it still saves as that file, and it wont let me choose what to publish as

Hm. Then it should be putting them in the 'Videos' folder. What's in there, just a bunch of .MSWMM files?

I noticed the problem, its saving things to two folders one clled "video" one called "videos" it looks like i got what i need, now just to upload it, which may take a while.

All uploaded but first vid got "This video contains an audio track that has not been authorized by WMG. The audio has been disabled. "

Maybe you can try a format conversion tool. I'm sure those must exist for video files (I have one that lets me save my AVIs as MP4s so I can put them on my iPod).
