This does look like an intense movie. It has the sci fi theme with the aliens, but it feels very real

It is my opinion that everything Peter Jackson makes is solid gold. The man is above criticism.

Jackson didn't have much to do with the film beyond producing. He didn't write it or direct it.

I've heard this movie is good, but it sounds like it's a bit of leftist propaganda about immigration.

Actually it's more of a comparison to an event in South Africa. I forgot what it's called, but one of my favorite online critics did a video about it. Watch it for his explanations.

Apartheid. The director lived in Africa during Apartheid and based the movie on his experiance. He just replaced Nazis with Aliens.
