Our kids were in middle school and elementary school when I joined the IMFDB. Now they're both grown and moved out. I'm just five years out from retirement now. In 2008 retirement was so far out that it was more academic. Now it's so close I can practically taste it.

When we first joined Murtaugh he was celebrating his 50th birthday. I'm 51 and I just went back to detectives a few days ago. I'm too old for patrol that's for sure.
