The only reason I own the 645 is that the place I went to had JUST sold the Model 66 I was going to pick up
I hope none of them ever develop forcing cone issues, jcordell, it's too nice of a collection |

Thanks. I have to admit to being pleased as well. Took me four years to get those three. Nicely used P&R Model 19's aren't as easy to find anymore. Mostly 38 Special loads are fired through the 19's and my dad's (it will always be his in my mind) Model 65. The bulk of the magnums are fired through my Ruger GP-100 and once in awhile through my Model 28 Highway Patrolman. Notice I didn't write no .357 magnums are fired through the Model 19's. I stick to the 158 grain JSP loads though. The 125 grain are fired through the Ruger.

I was looking at a Service Six at the same time as the 66 but then remembered the problems I'd had with my father's Speed Six, my grandfather's Single Six, and my Redhawk. S&W only for me unless I can get a Manurhin

I haven't had any trouble with my Ruger and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have any trouble. I also own an MR-73. Mine has seen a lot of use, but it works just fine. Like you S&W is my favorite.

I'm still mad they broke my Redhawk after I talked to a Ruger rep and was assured that it was 100% fixable (slight barrel cant, sometimes wouldn't lock correctly) and that they would do so
Someone actually stole the Speed Six, sadly, but it'd always lock up within 75 rounds (ejector rod would back out) |
