I think the PLA actually does use EOTechs on their rifles. Or more accurately, they use knock off EOTechs made in Hong Kong on their rifles.

They do?...well it wouldn't surprise me. I know they have knock offs of other stuff

When I was in Afghanistan many of our C8s had them... we tended to issue C8s with EoTechs to the LAV crews in our rifle coys, for obvious reasons. Our Recce pl had them as well, although they swapped them out for Elcans once they found most of their engagements were taking place at over 100M.
I had a C7 with an Elcan and a Browning 9mm... no sense wasting a C8 on me when I wasn't infantry. |

Though there is a new controversy with EOtech now with SOCOM putting out a statement that EOtechs are not as reliable as they advertised.
