I don't know why they'd use the name Real Genius if they're not going to keep the college setting. Take away the college setting, and you could name it anything right?

(I loved Real Genius.)

Why do I have a feeling that this project will fail miserably simply because Adam Sandler is attached to it?

I had to check, but yes, it's been six years since Michael Mann's last film. (Public Enemies)

I recognized the two Chinese actors, they were both in Lust, Caution.

Awesome, Micheal Mann. It's been a long time.

On another note, I've been following the MGS 5 stuff and still disappointed in that all the guns seemed to be fictional but worse, even in the cutscenes, Snake's rifle seems to be floating at his side instead of attached to a sling. Would it kill them to animate a simple sling?

Do you still need a plot? And it's going to be hard to explain to kids twenty years from now that once upon a time Liam Neeson was the star of Schindler's List.

Was there any demand for bother unnecessary sequel to Taken?

And Neeson was pretty damn good in Schindler's List, especially his breakdown near the end.

As much as I would rather see Neeson getting better work, I'm a little more concerned about Forest Whitaker's career trajectory as of late. It's hard to believe this is the same actor who won an Oscar for The Last King of Scotland...

Kojima chose all guns to be fictional because the portrayal of the real, licensed guns may constitute copyright infringement. Plus he's a pragmatist, so rather than changing the gun name and keeping the appearances the same like earlier Counter Strike do in the past, he decided to make fictional gun, probably to avoid getting sued. But in the eyes of a majority of gamers who are not gun savvy, it's a cool looking gun, so why not?

As for the slings, I don't know about that. I imagined it's one of advanced rubber-y battle suit feature that Snake wearing that makes the gun floating on his side.

Actually I call bullshit on being sued by gun makers on the idea that they don't patent the image of guns, just the names of guns. There was a recent article about how gun companies own the rights to guns but no the image of guns being used in games and game companies would have to pay so that they can use gun company logos and names in their games.

I have not seen a single interview with Kojima nor from Konami on an official reason why all the guns are fictional when in all the previous games, they have been using real depictions of guns. It's been a staple of MGS to glorified what guns Snake is holding. In MGS1, there's a funny scene between Snake wanting to trade his MK 23 for Meryl's Desert Eagle. MGS2, when Snake picked up a USP, it was pointed out that it was a USP. In MGS3, there are codec conversations describing what gun you are equipped with and in MGS4, it is practically in love with the M4.

And with the amount of budget and development time spent on this game, I seriously doubt Konami didn't have the money to buy the name rights for guns let alone use images of guns since there is now law in selling a product that has only digital representations of guns.
