The company who made it is "Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co" who are based in Solingen. Going by your description of the shield and three ring symbol, I guess it is probably a Mauser M95 bayonet for the Chilean army. Is this it?

That's the one, yeah. Any ideas on the commonality of these bayonets? A frequent sight like a Beretta 92? Super rare like a .45 Luger?
