First heard it on a forum and linked to news sites, ill look.
Mr. Cerino apparently commented "At least i shot myself with a loaded gun, most people are shooting themselves with empty guns."

I don't think the SERPA is a crappy holster, but I think anything that goes into the trigger guard of a gun, especially with a gun that has no manual safety and a light trigger weight is a deadly combination. But hey, it's the evolution of tacticool.
Edit: the SERPA didn't discharge the gun like I thought, he did the textbook "press the button too hard and KABOOM" deal. The point still stands that mixing a holster design which requires the trigger finger with a gun design that has a free, light trigger with no safety devices, coupled with a lack of training by the shooter on the aforementioned holster design, is not a good combination for oneself and others around them.
