They're the SEALs. They can use whatever they want.

I saw the add, and I instantly thought "SEALs don't use Berrettas". Aparantly, everyone here thought the same.

It just says SEAL Team Six was their first US Military customer, and that SEAL Teams in general used the pistol at some point. Not that they still use Berettas.

Yeah, it would be bad advertising to say "they were subsequently unimpressed and swithced to our competitor's superior product."

I wouldn't argue with that either. JUST curious, what is the SEALs sidearm of choice now? Is it a standard piece or personal, unit or mission choice?

I thought it was usually the P226 Navy / Mark 24?

Sounds about right for them to be using the Mark 24 Mod 0. Seeing as the Mark 23 Mod 0 was unwieldly (a foot long slide may be good for accuracy, but it makes it too much gun for a sidearm). Since the US Military bought the M9 over the SIG P226 because of the mag prices, would make sense that the SEALs would shell out the extra cash for the better scoring gun, and then give it official SEAL designation.
