A delta would be cool if Colt would put some workmenship into their products...The only guys that make a mainstream 10mm that is worth anything is Dan Wesson, Kimber, and Glock. I personally went with the Kimber and the glock and i love them both.

I wouldnt want a colt but that style of full size 1911 is cool. Id want a Springfield Armory, if they made one......

You listening springfield?

Dan wesson discontinued 10mm and the commander bobtail classic, which was a stupid move.

Dont like Kimber or Glock.

And Colt has craftsmanship, they just dont care about the civilian market, do no R&D, and all their fanboys think that colts the best since they are "the original" or whatever. They care so much about the mil/le market they just give us basic guns and jack the price up since it has the colt name.

You have to admit, you could buy a Springfield for much less than a comparable Colt (similiar features)

Springfield: Great guns, good price, lifetime warranty, and full custom shop, plus excellent customer service.

Only bad thing is they billboard their name on every gun.

But they are the best value in 1911s.

I totally could have bought a lower end Springfield instead of the High Standard, but I was being a cheap bastard that day. The extra $50 and the money for a beavertail would have been worth it
