Boy. I haven't hunted since the fall of 90. Managed to get an elk, but it was a joint-kill. My buddy shot it once and I shot it again after we had to go looking for it in the bush. LOTS of work getting it out. Then life came crashing in and I haven't been since. Today as I write this it's pouring rain and snowing at higher elevations. As I look at the weather I realize that I might never go hunting again. I've come to appreciate roofs, dry beds, and central heating.

I'm not anti-hunting mind you. Just anti-cold, wet and miserable.

I know this is an old post, but I really have to voice my agreement. I've already spent too much time wet and freezing my ass off in the woods with a rifle to do it for free.

Now early bear or muzzle-loader seasons, that I've been considering.

I've always wanted to hunt bear up in Canada
