I agree with Predator on that one. But just recently my dad got a perfect condition GI issue .45 from 1942 in the shop. It was never issued but was intended for use during WWII. It was beautiful. My dad gave it a three pound trigger instead of the awful 8lb one it had and I was impressed. The retail for it is 2,500 dollars.

I prefer flat to arched mainspring housing.

All of my three have the flat, so I don't have any experience with the arched. I do prefer the look of the flat.

Ive only held arched, all the shooting is with flat, but it looks neater. The arched looks out of place.
