C'mon people, it's a great book by a great author. It may suck that it has Kristen Stewart in it, but Viggo Mortensen makes up for that.

Basicly, the characters in Kerouac's book are anologues to him and his friends that he had on the road trips. For Example:
Sal Paradise - Jack Kerouac Dean Moriarty - Neal Cassidy Old Bull Lee - William S. Burroughs Carlo Marx - Allen Ginsberg
