Sly's 1911s sounded like they were doing burst fire. I'm sure it was probably done in post production.

I was looking forward to hearing how loud the AA-12 was supposed to be, but they used the same sound effect as the pistols with a steady rate of fire. Not to mention the shotgun is shown throwing people and chopping them in half, which doesn't surprise me as Sly directed the movie, and much like in Rambo (2008), he believes anything like that is a man mashing monster.

Well Lungren's grenade launcher in the beginning blew 2 guys into pieces. They were missing their upper bodies.
