Now if he had been talking about how Beretta frames had been cracking and hitting people in the face then He would have been talking about something that is a known fact.
The thing about that is, the frames weren't cracking - the slides were. I believe the reason was a combination of some metallurgical issues with a particular run of guns that were given to the SEALs (who experienced the majority of the reported problems) and the ammunition used by the SEALs, which was a good deal hotter than anything else in existence aside from handloads.
