Also, just because we've had a few problems with "foreigners" lately does not mean that we're going to block them all out. You are encouraging a ridiculous (dare I say retarded) over-reaction to a minor problem, which would only introduce a host of new problems for those of us who are Admins. And as for increasing the number of Admins; in order to become an Admin, a person has to have contributed a substantial body of work (all matching our quality criteria) before they can be nominated.

We don't need to start implementing Soviet-style bureaucratic control every time we have a couple users who give us problems. And personally, I'd prefer that people stop suggesting this kind of shit whenever we do.
Also remember ..... pretty much only PersonOfInterest is the only one who keeps on bringing this up. Apparently he thinks that we are some sort of leviathan website with tons of paid staff with the manhours to institute draconian rules and punishments. Be aware of where the 'idea' comes from

Neither would I, and again the question is do we even need anymore new people if they're only going to make a few minor edits.

It's my solution to your problem. I wouldn't have even said anything if you hadn't brought it up. You came to the forums with a complaint, I answered with the best solution I could think of. I only champion this cause in threads you post.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Block the trolls out before they can get in and you'll reduce your workload. And this website already bans people, that's not my suggestion. My idea would probably decrease the number of bans. That's not draconian at all, considering the admins already have (and wield) the power to ban.

And it's a impractical THEN as it is NOW. In the future, FIGHT the urge to respond to my rants.

Sure. Except it's not an OUNCE of prevention. It's three hundred TONS of "prevention" versus a Pound of "Cure". It's hundreds and hundreds of extra MANHOURS. A point which you doggedly refuse to see.

We're in the future now. Get somebody to figure out a way to automate the filtering process.

That's a very hostile way to treat somebody who is solution oriented, especially since it's your complaint I'm trying to help you with. I've planted the seed of an idea, how about we encourage others to continue the process of creating something collectively instead of shouting down somebody who's actually trying to think of something.

How about you do something about it shut the hell up, seeing as it bothers you in the first place. And if you don't want my input, or anyone else's, then don't post on a public forum. If it really is an administrative issue, then take it up with the other admins and try to come up with a solution yourselves. That what you're supposed to do, administrate. We're just the forums over here. I'm just an idea man, a hypothesist. I've done my part in this collaboration, that's what a wiki is supposed to be anyway, a collaboration.

Do you want to be the pot or kettle? We've told you that your solution is not practical, and you haven't managed to address the shortcomings, other than to suggest that someone else figure them out. And even if your "solution" didn't have issues, it's the message board equivalent of trying to perform root canal with a jackhammer.
