Because the movie is trying to portray it as the military full auto variant. That's the variant Remington makes, the military/Law Enforcement variant, which is in full automatic. Bushmaster makes the exact same rifle in all its modular glory, but only in semi-auto. That is the only difference between the two companies. Remington just got the rights to make the full auto and Bushmaster is all on the civilian variant, though I thing Remington does make a civilian variant, but Bushmaster seem to have gotten the better deal since it gets to market more to civilians.
