Also, the thought did occur to me that on some pages that have lots of guns (dozens), having very big categories could be just as unwieldy.

You're right, but remember that we are not denying the existence of subcategories. We are just trying to simplify the large listings on various movie/tv pages. What's so hard about that? I wonder. I FIGURE that if we had a page which had 25 revolvers and 32 semiauto pistols, one COULD break it out even further. People should just use common sense. I'm just saying that if we don't codify it quick, the STANDARD will be to create as many subcategories as possible all across IMFDB .... and that will look like Hell...
