Well that's because the HK tester KNEW FULL WELL that the M4 will blow up in his face. He was going in prepared as hell for it to destroy itself during the test. When the guy wore nothing during testing the 416, he was fully confident that the 416 would NOT blow up in his face. That's why he wore no protection, because he had faith in the 416, NOT the M4.
There had been some independent testings, and some say that the 416 might have overheating issues.
