Exactly, that was first season. The original gun wasn't real, so they just called it a Stratford 12mm. The Episode where they blow up the goat was also early, and even I didn't understand gauges a while back. Making up fake stuff is better than blatant innacuracy, like calling a 1911 an M9.

Are we still debating on the guns of Family Guy? The show's just a cartoon with barely detailed pictures that are just meant to look like guns. I honestly don't care what they are supposed to be.

It's not hate. It's just feeling that it's kinda weird that someone wants to put down the guns for a cartoon like this show. I like this show. I watch it a lot and have a laugh, but I don't watch this show for it's "action scenes"
I just don't really care.
