Is this a HK G36?

This is a photo of Sgt Konrad Rygiel, 2nd REP, who was killed in afghanistan on June 7th, 2010.
I was under the impression the Famas was the only assault rifle used by French forces.
Also, the stock looks different than the G36's ive seen.
