Default Colt Woodsman; 1st Issue (1928)

So today I picked up a Colt woodsman 1st Issue made in 1928. That is the original finish and grips. $750.00. Very excited.

Awesome Colt! I love those long-barrelled first series Woodsmans (Woodsmen?). Were they building them for high velocity ammo yet in 1928? You'll have to let us know how it shoots!

No not until 1932. Fortunately I have a couple boxes of sub-sonic 22. I'm looking forward to getting out to the range. It seems t be a very natural pointer.

That's a neat find, Cordell. Add it to the list of guns you own that I'm jealous of.

You should trick it out; have the barrel shortened and have it integrally suppressed
