And note that most of the IDF guys, including their commandoes are going towards an AR- platform rifle.

That's because they don't have to make or pay from them, just slap stuff together from the old parts the US sends over

Are you going to use this to put down feral hogs in your area as well? They can do a lot of agricultural damage.

Not just crop damage. They spread disease and can hurt people

I've heard some of these feral hogs can grow very large, and the population can grow very fast. Assuming the right kind of population management via hunters and trappers (who sometimes manage to catch entire "family groups" of hogs), how much feral hog meat gathered by these people is sent to soup kitchens and other subsidized food sources? I would think the hunters and trappers can't eat it all themselves without getting sick of pork.

Forget where they put the meat after they've killed them. There is such a hog problem down south that people welcome others to come from all over just to shoot as much as they want.

Go watch the vids I put down

Could very well be true. When I was at Benning, there was an IDF "operations group" there doing some cross training and also a group of IDF Armor guys going through the manuever center course.

Being the most worldly of my peers, I picked their brains every chance I got.

This was 2011, so the Tavor might not have been the new hotness yet.

And in regards to Hogs...my family raises cattle, soybeans, and corn.

They are nothing but a nuisance that threatens the family livelyhood. Kill them. Kill them all.

In 2009, the Tavor was selected to completely replace all weapon systems used by front line troops by 2018. So yeah, it would have been a gradual transition. he first Tavor (MTAR-21 variant) rifles were issued to new recruits of a main IDF infantry brigades in 2013, replacing the M-16 rifles
