Help! With Classic TV Shows!!!!
I see tons of great work on some TV shows, like Stargate SG1 or Miami Vice or others, but they are more modern TV shows.
Aren't there any fans of old TV shows, like Bonanza? or Laredo? High Chaparral? or the OLD The Untouchables? Or Have Gun Will Travel? Or the Wild Wild West? To name just a few? PhoenixEnt has become the GURU of classic Film Noir / B&W Crime dramas. GM45 is the guru of MODERN westerns, but no one seems to like OLD westerns. There have been a bunch of reruns and I've seen actors listed HERE who appeared numerous episodes wielding all sorts of guns, and these were fun shows. Sure they were really G-Rated, but it was fascinating to see shows that entertained without tons of violence, sex or profanity. Just wondering if anyone else was interested in doing the old TV shows. I 'would' but I'm already sitting on a pile of stuff to screencap already. |

And like I said, my grandpa has Bonanza on DVD so I'll do that eventually.

While not a western TV show. I have a few Gary Cooper westerns I need to do. But Miami Vice takes up most of my time. I like to squeeze in 1 movie a week though. I think the big problem is most of the oldies are before most of the users time. Didn't grow up with them. But Gunsmoke and Rawhide do need pages.
I also have a 20 movie pack on 4 dvd's of Spaghetti westerns too. (It was only 6 bucks) Got to find the time. |

One of the cable channels had a Bonanza marathon, and it must have been a digital remaster, because the clarity and color was amazing and I could clearly see all of the Old western SAAs, Mod 1873s, Mod 1866s, etc. etc. |

I want to do Combat! and Tour of Duty. I don't think they are really old but i am still going to do them. I going to do Sands of Iwo Jima too.

My Dad and I used to watch re-runs of Combat! all the time. I had no idea it was even on DVD...

And the DVDs are also remastered, and look pretty damn good. Just don't expect me to get it done in a week. School starts next week....

I've never been a complete fan of westerns. I mean, I've seen a lot of Clint Eastwood movies, but westerns was never my favorite when it comes to movies with guns

I'd screencap some but I just feel that whenever I watch an old western I'll be able to predict the weapons :Single Action Revolver & Winchester Repeater.
My library has alot of "Classic" TV shows, maybe I'll pick one up sometime. |
