Not the surfing, but the general attitude

The only realism to impress me was generation kill.

I liked that they act like real soldiers, bitching about MRES, talking about combat jacks, doing dip all the friggin time, not acting like stereotypical action movie characters. They acted like real people.

I saw the Redux edition on the big screen when it came out like ten years ago. Seeing the helicopter assault on the big screen was probably worth the price of the ticket alone. But I thought most of the restored scenes just screwed up the pacing of a film that was already way too slow to begin with. I did like how they explained the stolen surfboard bit though.

I've watched the Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. When I saw the scene where Lisbeth gets revenge on her asshole sadist guardian, I thought "Is that the best you can do? Shove a dildo up his ass and tattooing 'I'm a sadistic pig, pervert, and rapist' to his chest? You could of at least cut his balls off and flush them down the toilet.".

Marines. Generation Kill is about The United States Marine Corp. Never ever confuse a "Soldier" with a Marine. There's a difference

That's because they all were real people. Also, one of the Recon Marines in "Generation Kill" isn't an actor; he's a real-life Marine playing himself.
