That is not an M203A2. The A2 mounts to the barrel of the M16 and M4, just like both earlier versions. You can clearly see in the following pics that it has a barrel clamp and no sign of RIS attachment points.

The only difference between the M203A2 and the original M203 is the barrel clamp. The A2 uses a quick release barrel clamp (which originally found its way into the military supply chain via the short-barreled M203A1), the original used a more permanent clamp attached by hex nuts, as seen in the following pics.

Looking closely I can see an LMT logo on it. That would make it the final NFA item listed here. If google has not failed me, the two things on the side are distinctive of the LMT version and are tapped holes for a side-mounted quadrant sight.

Edit: For now I've re-labelled all instances of that picture as "LMT M203 with 12" barrel."

Just for future reference, the only difference between the M203A2 and the original M203 (at least in the US military) is the type of clamp used to secure it to the barrel.

This is the original clamp used when the 203 was adopted in the 70s.


The A1 and A2 models use the Knight's Armament QD clamp seen here.



And on a side note, we could use a pic of a Canadian M203A1 for the site since at least 1 movie we have on here (Universal Soldier: The Return) uses it instead of the American version.
