something different - Old school shotguns
So amidst all the photos of handguns and AR platform builds why not something a bit different....like shotguns
Winchester Model 1200 Riot-Gun, mfd. 1972 (12 gauge, 2 3/4 shells) Remington 870 Wingmaster. (top) Modified many decades ago ,by a now deceased Idaho State Trooper, into a riot-gun with extended mag. I carried it for a few years during a detective rotation. Always qualified with it. Winchester Model 1200 Riot Gun (bottom) Winchester Model 1200 Riot Gun (top) Winchester Model 1300 8 Shot Defender mfd. 2000 (12 Gauge, 3" shells). Purchased new in 2000. I won the bid on the Winchester 1200 at an estate auction a couple weeks ago. The owner had been a doctor for several decades and really liked shotguns. All types from expensive European SxS to affordable single shot 20 and 410 gauge shotguns. My guess is the 1200 was used as a deer gun. The scope is a Weaver K-1.5. Designed for shotguns and short range shooting. Especially fast close range shooting with slugs and 00 buckshot. The good doctor took very good care of his shotguns. The Winchester just caught my fancy. After all was said and done (taxes, buyer's premium, FFL fee) I paid $300 for it.

I love my 1300 Defender, and my brother has a standard one; I'm thinking about getting him a slug barrel as a gift since as far as I can see they're just a shorter smoothbore barrel with better sights, which is what he wants
