So did I get ripped on a P08?

Now I said P08, not POS! LOL

Hey, I own guns and work on films with them, doesn't mean I'm an expert on actual dollar values of all older stuff. I have tons of friends who are GURUS on older guns and their values, but none of them are around, and the guys who ARE around give me wildly variable values.

STORY: A friend owes me $500. He's broke. He says "take my P08" he's owned since 1982. It's a pre WW2 commercial version, matching numbers, original holster, holster wear, some pitting, good bore, 80% blue, three war time magazines.

I've run into enough "friends" who quote "$250" that I'm going to do a sanity check with other guys who know guns......

And no, I can't find my bluebook value of guns edition, so I figured I'd solicit opinions here and see what I get
