Default Another revolver. S&W Model 19 .357 Magnum

Paid $470 for this one. Got it from a co-worker. It belonged to his grandfather who purchased it new in 74 and then carried in in his RV. A sock drawer gun if you like. He isn't big on revolvers and his grandfather (who is still alive) suggested that he sale it. He knows I'm a big revolver fan and knew that at least with me it would go to somebody who would appreciate it. And he's right. Very excited. Model 19's are getting harder to find.

It is in very good shape. At least 90% of the finish. The photos don't do it justice. The blue finish is very rich and I didn't expect the box to be part of the deal. A little bonus.

Are my eyes going or is that box too small for the gun?

Oh my....that's my favorite of all the Smith & Wesson revolvers, with the heavy Duty coming in a close second.

Such a good looking gun.

No the revolver fits perfectly. It has to go in at an angle though.

S&W always used to be quite minimalist with their boxes.... unlike the giant plastic cases they sell them in today. I recently had a 1970s Model 14 at work, and had to take off the target grips the owner had added to get it into the box.

Neat gun. I'll give you $20 and a whole 3 square yards of property in Zavalla, Texas for it

It's very tempting, but I'm going to have to pass this time. Thanks though.

C'mon, I promise you the property won't be in a ditch or the middle of the road or something
