Default Nooby Glock question

What is that thing protruding from the frame above the trigger and below the 40 etched on the slide?

Well for me, when I picked up a Glock for the first time, I didn't quite know what it was until I press down on it and disassembled the gun.

s\Strange grip angle, unconfortable finger grooves. Yes, I really hate those finger grooves. Doesn't point naturally. Strange trigger. Models above 9mm caliber too light for the round they shoot. Looks ugly. Ill stick with SIG.

It's easy to understand why Glocks are popular. It's way harder to understand how anyone could think they're the best out there.

There simple and dont cost much, which makes them popular for new shooters. The price point makes them popular amongst the procurement people at police departments dealing with budget issues. I like .45 acp, and the solid feel of metal. A 23 once hunk of palstic is not the best platform.

It's worth noting how many firearms fail because of price point, though they are otherwise effective and stuff.

I can't think of any examples.... crap.
