I would like to think that New York's recent gun restrictions won't have a chance if they can't even push a ban on large sugary drinks though. I'd LIKE to think...

I would agree with the guns and suicide link. But that's like saying people with shoelaces and belts are more likely to commit suicide than people who don't. It's just another means to kill yourself.

It's just the violent nature of guns, but before guns, we got swords and other weapons and governments had tried to regulate who gets those.
