If you admit this, then you aren't stupid. Just a little too addicted to being argumentative. I used to be the same way; as a lonely teenager, I used to waste hours on message boards in debates (probably more than BurtReynoldsMoustache).

Being psychic has nothing to do with it. Unless you think we needed to be psychic to realize that, in WWII, we were aiding a future enemy (the Soviet Union) against a current enemy (Nazi Germany).

I am familiar enough with realism in American foreign policy to know that considerations of ideology are often irrelevant. We aid state and non-state actors whose ideology is at odds with liberal democracy whenever it suits us.

Yes, but the UN is a joke. Many dictatorships have been allowed to chair committees in the UN that are meant to promote human rights - even though these same governments are some of the world's worst human rights violators.

Lol, that reminds a lot my grandpa, when he was going to be recruited but he ended working in Alfa Romeoīs aircraft engine factory (well, until it was bombed by american planes and he lost his job), thanks to his motherīs cousin (Giovanni Leone), who had a lot of contacts at that time (lol).

Eh, some people don't get good subtile inside jokes or appreciate good scarcasm I guess.....but some do.

Looks like a few lucky rebels picked up some goodies after seizing the Bab al-Azizia compound:

I think I saw a photo in the newspaper yesterday of a rebel with an Aussie SLR.

EDIT: Scrub this; it was a regular FAL.

So how common are golden AKs and Dragunovs in the world, exactly?

Also looks like a Chinese CQ in his other hand.

Must be nice, gold AKs, armfuls of guns and ammo -but- they did earn it in a way fighting against that nutjob and his personal army.

I hope the Libyans can find some peace now along with trying to....

.... "form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity".....

It's not always easy or free.

Pretty common in the Middle East I imagine - Saddam had entire caches of them in his palaces, and some of the smaller emirates have been known to give golden guns as gifts. The Mexican drug cartels have also had golden Kalashnikovs and AR-15s.

I like the fact that the Rebels do not rely on self-made weapons exclusively, but also utilize firearms that have been proven to be durable and reliable. Also, Markit's third image: Yay for trigger discipline! Could those be loyalists at the Rixos?
