Haven't held an M&P yet, but I have heard nothing but good about it. I have held an FNP45 and I fell in love with it instantly. It should be marketed as the polymer pistol for manly men

Iheard the M&P can fire 9mm, .45, .357 SIG and .4 smith from the same rame and slide, just switching barrels and Mags. The versatility is just cool. I hate striker guns though, there triggers are usually heavy. Then again ive only fired xds and glocks, the smith may be diferent. The fnp is cool sicne its a 45 with 9mm capacity. I heard its ammo picky though, ammo with a longer OAL doesnt work as well.

The only time I really care is when the trigger is horrible ( USP, Sigma, Glock, Nagant revolver), but otherwise I'll tolerate it

Here we donīt have civilian SMGs. The Glock with the stock is the closest to a smg that you can find (remember, semiautomatics are illegal).

After the zombie apocolypse, he'd leave an MP5 laying out in the open, and when someone picks it up, he'll jump out of a tree and shoot 'em with a crossbow

First I'd find a Glock 22 (Not my first choice, but it's probably the most common police issue weapon in Canada), then find a LAVIII.

Use the LAV as a secure home/transport, find a C7/8, and maybe an MP5 from a police station or something. On my way to a remote area I'd collect food, water, and any weapons and ammunition. Also gasoline, diesel, batteries, and peanut M&M's.

EDIT: Though I suppose all that isn't the point of this thread. Well the original one anyways.
The best choices are what can be found most easily, most readily available ammunition and magazines. Unfortunately, that is becoming the Glock series. If the world was perfect though, I'd go with 2 SIG's. A 9mm P226, and a 9mm P229.
