Yeah, right. Defense spending is about to see major reductions, and spending on new small arms is one of the least urgent priorities. Given the current atmosphere, I won't be surprised if the M9 stays in service for at least another 25 years. I also won't be surprised if that's a major underestimate on my part.

Turns out it was based on a army times article, and there about as credible as the onion, thing is even respected gunwriters jumped on it this time.
