Default Thinking of getting a Blu-Ray player

Following configuration (laptop):

Intel Core i5 (2.26 GHz)
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
4 GB RAM

Are there actually drives that would work with this? How much do they cost? Is an adapter required?

I never dealt with a Blu-Ray system before, so excuse all the questions

Since it's a laptop, unless you're willing to pay a lot of money you'd need an adapter. And by adapter I mean external blu ray drive.

Bought my first Blu-Ray (Stargate) just to find out that no software I have (MPC, VLC, the standard Media player) will play the thing. Any suggestions?

e./

Bought PowerDVD 10.
