Default Thailand situation and guns

Has anyone been following the coup in Thailand? All I've been seeing is Tavors, M16s and apparently G3s.

I've seen a few other things, like FN MAGs, Mini Uzis, HK33s (with that long 40 round mag), M203s on M16s, a pump shotgun that looks like it might be a Stevens/Savage Model 67, and some kind of tactical auto shotgun, possibly a Remington Model 1100 or something like that. Some of the M16s are pretty weird, they go from pretty nice looking A2s, some ok A1s, and some really beat up looking Model 604s with slickside uppers and full fence lowers (assuming they are a real model and not totally cobbled). Here is a pic, some of them have no finish left on the receiver at all and are just bare metal.

Edit: And a few Negevs.

I have always wondered how much use would a rifle like that to get all the finish worn off

It feels like they JUST had a coup. (Well, back in 2006, time flies.) But two military coups in less than a decade? I don't always think of Thailand when I think unstable governments.

I'm kinda surprised this country could afford those Tavors
