Default Axeman and the Lost Images

To the other moderators:

Recently, I noticed that Axeman started reverting the images on the Lost page that I had replaced back to his original images. His original images didn't have the black bars cropped and some were very dark. So I took his original images and cropped and brightened them. After I reuploaded, he reverted them back again. He says his are of superior quality. I am getting completely frustrated with this, please let me know what should be the next step. For a comparison of images, please take a look at the Lost Discussion page.

Policy is use better pic, but there are te people with inlated egos who just have to have images on "their" page. A mod has to step in when this happens.

Ben

I would tell him to stop reverting the images back to his or get a temporary ban, I saw him do it yesterday and was going to say something. But since it had to with your images I figured you could handle it.

It says in the rules "Quality take priority over bragging rights. A better quality screenshot can be uploaded over one of lesser quality. Blu-Ray images or high quality DVD images are preferable over standard definition images or older (lesser quality DVD) images."

Nobody likes their images replaced, but that's the way it goes.

I agree. Put a temporary ban on him.

Your images are WAY better. As an Admin, you're well within your rights to lay down the law and tell him to stop messing with the images, or else.

Well, at least be cool about it. the OPS a MOD now. And seriously, even though I agree with the rule, having someone overwrite your pics is a serious blow to anyones ego! But we gotta deal with it. Only if someone fights back, we should 'gently' point out the rules. And if the pic is only BARELY or marginally better, then I don't support the replacement (but it must be barely and I mean barely better).

So be kind, understanding, even if the others are not.

Only if they continue, then put the Hammer of Doom on their heads...

The one thing I will say in Axeman's defense is that you did overdo the color saturation on a few images, but it hardly makes yours "inferior" to his. Overall, I'd rather have yours.
