Why are people putting supressors on their guns to fight predators with? Suppressors might reduce noise but they make the rounds fly shorter with less power. And since the predators tracking of sound is nothing spectacular I don't really get the point.

A suppressor would just make their not-so-spectacular sound tracking ability more not-so-spectacular.
