a right handed person that spent alot of time with Ar-15's and other like semi to full auto's would want the charging handle on the right hand side of the gun. The first thing i noticed when i handled the SCAR is that if a person braced the firearm by the magazine well he could pretty much say good bye to his thumb on the first shot.
