Question Burn Notice Weapon ID

Can you identify a rifle for me?

It's from Burn Notice, Season 2 Ep 8 - "Double Booked".

Assuming this isn't instantly enough for you, I can add that it has a large sculpted stock that folds along the side of the weapon, a folding bipod under the barrel, and the very back of the stock has crenelations, kinda like Lego.

My apologies if it's something obvious but it seemed unusual to me, a very modern design, particularly the shaped stock. For a moment I thought it was going to be a G11 or some other more exotic weapon until Michael started unfolding it.

Thanks in advance!

Wink

I don't care if you're right or wrong, that has to be the fastest reply to a query in living history! ;-)

...although after looking up what you said, I reckon you've nailed it. And I guess I was right, too, it is pretty modern, sleek and futuristic in appearance.

Thanks! Any confirmation / more info on this beast? Is it any good? I've not actually seen it get fired so it was all a bit tantalising.

Yeah it looks like one of the Accuracy International Arctic Warfare rifles, not sure which one though.

Question Rem 700 in AI stock

Its a Remington 700 PSS mounted in an AI folding stock. The barrel is made removable because of "interrputed threads" in the forward portion of the receiver and on the chamber end of the barrel. Simply rotate the barrel 90 degrees and pull out. The reverse to install and it automatically headspaces.

Oh yeah, I forgot armorers do that sometimes. Like in The Matador.

I have to say, I agree with Rockwolf and GM, it does look like the Accuracy International Covert model, which is a version of the Artic Warfare model modified to fold and fit into a suitcase. I'm not sure where the Remington that 4570 mentioned comes into this, as I can't find a version that matches up. Here's some pics which pretty much confirm what RW and GM have said and match up pretty much perfectly with the screencaps:

Definitely seems to be this one, and it kinda figures considering the nature of the show, which tends to use modern and more unusual weaponry, as the hero is a former spy.
