Default Speed

I got Speed on DVD and saw there was screencaps on the page already. They look pretty low-res, would it be cool if I replace them with mine? (plus I'll get some shots of that bizzare tutone MP5K)

Also, I've been working on Crank for a few days now, stuff keeps coming up that stops me from finishing it. I should have it done on Wednesday.

I have so many DVDs to cap, and for some reason, I'm buying more! I'm crazy.

Hell yes.

BTW, the "MP5K" is actually an SP89 that was nickel-plated and given a forward grip. LMO had it for sale a few years ago.

Default Thanks

I didn't know it was an SP89. Does LMO still have pics of it?

Nope. I don't think they even had pics back when it was still on sale.

hahahaha. The wording is funny when you say it outloud....

Gunmaster45 is interested in Speed and working on Crank .... sounds like a substance abuse problem to me! hahahahahaha.

It was a originally a stembridge gun. LMO got all of their guns from Stembridge. I can see if the guys have a good pic of it.

You should get some help, man. lol

Regarding Crank, does anyone else have doubts as to the term "Mark I Desert Eagle?" I've checked and found that such a model exists, but no pictures, and frankly it looks like a Mark VII or XIX instead. Any comments?

There's not much visual difference between the Mark I and Mark VII. Here's a picture of one that was posted to Wikipedia:

You can tell it apart by the shape of the safety and slide catch. Also, Wikipedia doesn't mention this, but I believe the frame shape is a bit different too (the "belly" of the Mark I looks a bit narrower than that of the Mark VII).

I thought the same thing when I brought them home.

"I just bought Crank and Speed and I got to get working on them."

I found it funny too.

The MP5K came from Ellis Mercantile not Stembridge Gun Rentals. It was a SP89 converted to an MP5k by La France Specialties. I was the gunsmith at Ellis and we did all the guns for that show. I had the MP5K satin nickel for Speed as they wanted a stainless looking smg.

Please add as much info to it on the page as you want. Nothing is better than having someone who worked on the gun comment on it.
