Default What to do?

A recent IMFDB contributor from another country who barely speaks English and uses a Babelfish translator has done a ton of pages for films. Bravo to his initiative.

Now for the bad news. Not only is his grasp of English atrocious, he routinely misidentifies guns (badly).

So IMFDB now has tons of pages where the English summaries and descriptions many times make no sense ... AND ... half the guns are misidentified.

He has done a great job with screenshots and other aspect of page building, but it's the other stuff that is driving me bat crazy.

So do we just keep on fixing his pages? in finitum?

I suppose that's the only solution. Any other ideas?

Since the guy contributes images we can ID guns from, I'd say he's certainly worth keeping (far more than people who make pages with no images so we can't check if they're right or wrong with the IDs). Keeping an eye on the pages he makes and correcting where necessary is probably the best solution.

We could keep the screen caps but if the guy mis identifies guns, we'll just correct it. We do it for everyone else

I've already made numerous corrections to several of his pages. I spent a couple hours just fixing The Cassandra Crossing. But like others have pointed out he does post some pretty good screen-caps and he's expanded the number of foreign films substantially. I'm willing to keep fixing his mistakes. Anyway like the rest of us here the newness will eventually wear off and he'll slow down - probably.
