Default Capacity limits in Colorado

What's the legal limit for shotgun shell capacity? Does the state even have capacity laws? I know Colorado and its residents are almost unanimously pro-gun. I'm asking for a story and want to know if a Benelli M4 with an 7-shell mag tube would be civilian legal or if I should change it to a 5-shell tube.

If it matters, the character that owns it is a retired LEO.

For a tubular shotgun magazine the capacity is limited to a stack of no more than 28 inches, so a Benelli M4 with 7 rounds would be fine. Just fyi in case you didn't know, all other magazines are limited to 15 rounds, except detachable box shotgun mags which are limited to 8.

Okay, thanks. The legal limits aren't really an in-story issue for anyone because it's a zombie story, but are still good to know. It's just the shotgun in question was acquired before the outbreak and therefor would have to conform to capacity laws.
