Not at all. The 4505 only went for 600 because it was the book value, and EXTREMELY rare. 4506s are plentiful andtherefore shouldn't cost or sell for that much. 500 is a decent asking price for a good condition 4506.

I shot about 50 rounds through the 4505 yesterday. The gun shot great. I haven't had any spare funds to buy HP rounds or extra mags after buying a truck. So I shot only FMJ, I mainly buy Remington Golden Saber or Speer Gold Dot HP for my defense ammo, which have worked great in my other guns. I don't think either one would be a problem in the 4505.

I would have shot more than 50 rounds (I had 100 with me, plus a few loaded 1911 mags) but my grandma was with me so she could get some trigger time with the Beretta. She's not really into shooting and I didn't want her just sitting around. She shot the Beretta pretty well for someone with little to no handgun experience.

For those that wonder why I would give my grandma a handgun. The house she's living in was broken into a few years back when my great grandmother (her mother) was living there, all she had was a fire poker. She got lucky the guy wasn't looking for a fight.
