On my soldier qual course I saw a guy grab a C6 barrel to change it - not the handle, the barrel. He didn't do that twice.

I burned my face with a 16 gauge shotgunīs powder while hunting partridges. Some minutes later, I looked like this guy (without grenade and Koran):

Lol. Neh, I didnīt show any signs of the powder in my face, I only used the balaclava to avoid the burn again.

I'm gonna go with lucky/astronomical, just off the sound alone.

I'd require a couple changes of clean underwear after that one, too.

I don't think I buy it. I've seen alot of ricochets on machine gun ranges, and they go up, not back.

Dude, you're on IMFDB. We are the most detailed oriented guys on the PLANET. You're wearing a SKI MASK, not a BALACLAVA. Get it right!

Also, I've been hit by ricochets at a canyon in the San Bernadino mountains (a fav spot for shooters, but no longer used by casual shooters since the Sheriff's dept closed it down), but I still have a 9mm and a .308 Win that hit me in the lower back and lower leg respectively. The ricochets lost all their kinetic power, but it still hurt like hell. Kinda like someone shooting a slingshot at your body with a small rock at point blank range. Not enough to break the skin but enough to make a big welt! And no, I was NOT the shooter. I was just an observer.

Just getting smacked by brass hurts. I can't imagine what a proper ricochet feels like.
