Not that I like Qaddafi, but what makes you think the rebels would be any better if they kicked him out and took power? You think those guys are really fighting for "democracy"? Others are just old-fashioned tribalists who want their gang in power so that they can oppress other tribes (Libyan society, much like Iraqi society, is very tribal).

No way of knowing if they'll be any better, having dead bad guys though is always nice.

The army taught that way back in and phased it out, it stabilizes the gun but does nothing for recoil control. And no instructor in the country will suggest it these days. Support hand should ride high for control.
