Default District 9

Anyone else fascinated by Disctrict 9, coming out soon? I'm glad Peter Jackson is making movies again (what's it been, four years?) and the story concept seems interesting.

If someone has a good computer, I suggest they snap some shots from an HD trailer, there looks to be a few guns in the movie.

Damn, kudos to Markit, he uploaded screencaps like 10 minutes after I started this thread.

I hope to see a lot of gun battles in this movie with lots of guns.

I saw an image from this with the doctor character carrying some kind of rifle/saw thing that reminded me of the guns from Alien 4.

I have a hunch this isn't going to be a movie with a lot of gun fire. I think they'd of put more of it in the trailers if it was.

I took a look at a recent trailer (I'm so going to see this on opening) and caught these.

The PSC in the background has an M4 (or other similar AR carbine) with a rail system, PEQ-2, and M203.

Another shot I got of the above M4/M203. It's quite blurry (and a hard one to get), so exact ID isn't possible yet. But the profile is definitely M4/M203.

Beretta 92F or 92FS

Edit: Took a look back at one of the older trailers and got this shot.
The PSC on the right has an M4/M203 and the one on the left has what appears to be a Minimi mocked up as an M249. On the Minimi, I'm guessing mock-up by the really fake look of the heat shield and what looks like a synthetic butt stock.

In one of the trailers, it looked like an MNU soldier had some type of shotgun.

This does look like an intense movie. It has the sci fi theme with the aliens, but it feels very real

It is my opinion that everything Peter Jackson makes is solid gold. The man is above criticism.

I just saw the movie and it was interesting. Saw a lot of guns, including assorted AKs a couple 1911s, a Beretta M92F a minigun.
