To get the Vaquero outfit the player has to talk to three people.Those people are Ranger Andy in Novac, Corporal Sterling at Camp McCarran or Camp Forlorn Hope depending on quest progress, and Loyal at Nellis Air Force Base.
Or if you pass the speech check he will use a armored version of his normal clothes and upgrade his Regular Maintenance perk to Full maintenance perk, your armor and weapons will degrade 75% slower while Raul is in the party.

Well anyway, here's the list of the current weapons and armor I am using through awesome mods.
An AA-12  A sniper version of the Service Rifle, which is pretty much an M16 with a scope and a 10 shot magazine.  An M4 with Eotech, suppressor and even a vertical foregrip.  Also added a recent mod to give the Assault Carbine, which is technically the M733 the ability to add a suppressor and a day and night scope that was taken from another rifle. Makes the rifle more meaningful to have.

For shits and giggles, I got an MG34
 A USP, and recently I added a suppressor  And this is the current Armor I am having my guy wear. This helmet actually is a Night Vision when equipped. There's a separate identical version one to wear if it is the daytime.
