Damnit, second time this year
Wal mart laid me off tonight, along with about 100 other people. It pisses me off, and is a poor business decision, seriously, in their busy season? Is corporate on goddamn crack? At least they told me, dicks sporting goods didnt even give me that courtesy, just stopped sceduling me. Took me 3 months to getr that job and it lasts a month. Maines economic climate sucks, back to broke ass unemployment. Just need to vent my considerable amount of anger.

I;'m just glad I can work with my parents at their restaurant and make some money while look for a job. It isn't a good job, but it gets me money on the side.

It is effin' impossible to get a job around where I live if you're under 18. You can either work at Kroger's/Academy, leech off of your parents (rich kids only) or be save every cent you have (me). I hope you get a job somewhere better than Walmart.

I'm really sorry to hear about it, k9870. I haven't been in the same situation myself, but I know quite a few people who have lately.
But aren't you also in the USCG? |

Ah, I see.
For what it's worth, one of my old roommates (I went to college up there) also got laid off a few months ago, and he hasn't found a job yet. He's living at home with his parents now and hates it. And he says the same thing...pretty much nobody's hiring in Portland right now. |
